Team
Alpha TR has a team of high-quality underwriters specialising in private capital.
Our underwriters have underwritten thousands of transactions and deployed £billions of risk capital. We can execute from the simple to the obscure, and everything in between. We offer a consistent, predictable counterparty and aim to provide a sophisticated service. In short: we get deals done.
The team have worked on multi-£billion acquisitions, IPOs, administrations / insolvencies, and funds-of-funds projects, and comprises senior underwriting, broking, legal, accounting, and tax expertise.
Alpha TR aims to quote a small number of projects in order to maintain best-in-class project and claims execution for our clients and broker partners.
Richard is the Managing Director at Alpha TR and has spent a decade helping to develop the transactional risk market. He is regularly asked to speak at alternative asset and finance conferences regarding transactional risk insurance.

Dave has been a senior member of the international transactional risk market for longer than most providers have existed. He helped develop the secondaries W&I market, as well as other non-M&A applications of W&I.

Laurence is a tax and finance specialist. He was the first underwriter to join the transactional risk market with expertise in derivatives, securitisation, and complex debt structures.
